Risky Play

After our visit to We Play in Penang, we made a promise —

To bring the spirit of open-ended, child-led risky play back to Singapore. 🌱

It’s taken nearly a year.

From planning to sourcing, from testing to implementation — and perhaps the most important step of all: building trust with parents.

We knew this wouldn’t be a one-way decision.

So before launching, we conducted a survey to better understand parents’ concerns.

Their voices mattered. Their worries were valid.

And it shaped the way we designed and introduced this space — with safety, clarity, and intention.

Finally, we launched it at our little yard.

Not as a finished product, but as a progressive rollout — evolving with observation, feedback, and reflection.

This photo captures more than play.

It reflects courage.

Collaboration.

Trust.

Risk.

And the beginnings of a culture that says:

“Yes, you are capable. I trust you.”
