Come See What Makes
Dreamkids Different
Choosing the right preschool isn't only about curriculum, facilities or preparing for Primary 1. It's about finding a place where your child can be known, understood, challenged and supported — while growing up with a bigger view of the world.
That's the Dreamkids difference. And on Saturday, 29 August, we're inviting you to experience it for yourself through the work of our children.

Every preschool can tell you what it believes.
What Makes Dreamkids Different?
A Genuinely Multicultural Childhood
In our little corner of Katong, children from local and expatriate families and different cultures learn, play and grow together. Children don't just learn about diversity — they experience it through real friendships every day. Local roots. Global friendships.
Small Enough to Truly Know Each Child
Dreamkids is intentionally small and personal. Our educators can notice the child behind the name—what fascinates them, what makes them laugh, what challenges them, when they need encouragement, and when they're ready for the next challenge. Because no child should feel invisible in their preschool.
Character Matters As Much As Capability
We want children to leave Dreamkids knowing more. But we also care deeply about who they are becoming — kindness, empathy, responsibility, perseverance, respect. These aren't values we reserve for a weekly lesson. They are practised through everyday preschool life.
Courage Grows Through Challenge
Confidence doesn't come from always making things easy. Children need opportunities to climb, explore, try something difficult, make mistakes, solve problems—and try again. Because one of the most powerful things a young child can discover is: "I can do hard things."
Curiosity Before Answers
Instead of always telling children what to think, we encourage them to wonder, ask, investigate, create and discover. A child's question can become an investigation. An interest can grow into a project. And a mistake can become the beginning of the next discovery.
Different Children. Different Journeys.
One Place to Belong.
Children don't all develop in exactly the same way or at exactly the same pace. We believe educators should seek to understand the child, rather than expecting every child to fit the same mould. Their strengths matter. Their challenges matter. Their individuality matters. And every child deserves a place where they can belong.
The Galleries
Six Galleries.
Walk Them in Any Order.
Take your time. Look closely. Ask questions. Our educators will be stationed throughout the galleries to share the stories behind the children's work and explain how seemingly simple moments can become meaningful learning.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
Dawn Choy
Founder. Mother. Educator

Dreamkids was founded by Dawn Choy — mother of four and an early childhood educator with more than 20 years of experience.
Her belief was simple: every child deserves to be seen, heard and valued.
That belief still guides Dreamkids today.
Come See The Evidence
But Don't Just Take Our Word For It
At Dreamkids, we'd rather let you see what our beliefs look like in our children. That's why this isn't an ordinary Open House. We've turned Dreamkids into 6 inquiry galleries, filled with a year of our children's actual learning.
Not work created specially for Open House. Not a performance rehearsed for parents. Their real journey.
Look closer and you'll discover:
The questions they asked
The drawings, sculptures
and creations they made
The ideas they investigated
The drafts, mistakes and
changes along the way
The problems they tried to solve
The confidence, curiosity and
thinking that grew with them
Because the finished piece only tells part of the story. We want you to see how they got there.
"I Don't Want To Leave Dreamkids."

One of the most meaningful things we can hear from a graduating child isn't about what they learned. It's: "I don't want to leave."
Because somewhere along the way, preschool stopped feeling simply like a school. It became somewhere they belonged. Teachers who knew them. Friends they grew up with. Questions they were encouraged to ask. Challenges they learned to overcome. And memories they didn't want to leave behind.
That's the kind of childhood we hope to create at Dreamkids.
