Our Development Support Programme
Where Every Child's Potential Finds a Pathway
At Dreamkids Kindergarten, we believe that every child learns, grows, and expresses themselves in wonderfully unique ways. Our Development Support Programme (DSP) is created specially for children who may benefit from early intervention, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and structured school inclusion support — all within the safe, nurturing environment of Dreamkids.
Our goal is simple yet powerful:
To ensure that every child, regardless of developmental needs, has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, emotionally and physically — with confidence and joy.

At Dreamkids Kindergarten, we believe every child has an innate curiosity and unique potential. Our Early Intervention Programme is designed to meet toddlers and pre-nursery children who may face developmental delays or require additional support, with warmth, expertise, and an unwavering belief in their ability to thrive.
Purpose & Vision
The purpose behind our Early Intervention Programme is twofold:
-
To support children in building foundational educational skills and adaptive behavioural skills, equipping them to engage meaningfully in learning and social settings.
-
To empower families and educators with the strategies, tools and understanding needed to nurture growth, independence and confidence in each child.
By intervening early, we open pathways of opportunity — giving children the chance to discover their strengths, participate fully, and make progress in ways that matter for their future.

Our programme covers a comprehensive range of developmental domains, each thoughtfully integrated into play-based, nurturing experiences:
-
Language & Literacy – Children are introduced to basic language and literacy skills through stories, songs, rhymes, purposeful play and phonics. We also use tools like PECS (Picture Exchange Communication Symbols) and assistive technologies, supporting children who benefit from alternative or augmentative communication.
-
Cognition – Through exploration, symbolic play and problem-solving experiences, children develop spatial awareness, thinking skills, visual-motor coordination and the ability to make connections among ideas.
-
Social & Adaptive Skills – In a warm, inclusive classroom environment, children learn to express feelings, follow routines, take turns, cooperate, make decisions and become more confident and independent.
-
Fine & Gross Motor Skills – From threading beads and using pencils, to tricycles, sand-play and outdoor movement activities — we help children refine hand-eye coordination, muscle control, balance, and everyday self-care skills (dressing, feeding, toileting).
-
Sensory & Occupational Challenges – Our team of qualified Occupational Therapists works with children on sensory processing, daily-living independence, oral-motor control (e.g., eating, drinking safely), and if needed, modified equipment or seating to support accessibility and success.
-
Speech & Language Therapy – A dedicated Speech and Language Therapist assesses and intervenes in areas such as vocabulary, sentence building, articulation, swallowing and alternative communication systems as required.
-
Nature, Science & Physical Development – Learning extends beyond the classroom. Field trips, nature walks, child-led investigation, water and sand play, movement sessions, and thematic exploration build children’s awareness of the world and develop their coordination, curiosity and resilience.

-
Individualised and small-group support: We recognise that each child learns differently. Our team tailors interventions to each child’s profile and collaborates closely with families to monitor progress and adjust strategies.
-
Integrated into a preschool setting: Rather than isolating the child, we embed this service in a caring preschool environment — enabling children to participate meaningfully with peers, promote social inclusion, and transition smoothly to more independent learning settings.
-
Multidisciplinary team: Our programme is supported by experienced early-childhood educators, occupational therapists, speech-language therapists and inclusion specialists — working together to design, implement and review intervention plans.
-
Play-based, purposeful learning: All activities are rooted in joyful, meaningful play — whether it’s building, experimenting, creating art, storytelling or exploring the outdoors. Engagement, fun and success go hand-in‐hand.
-
Partnership with parents: We view parents as vital partners. Regular reviews, home-learning suggestions, and open communication ensure that therapy and learning carry on beyond the classroom.
-

Inclusion Programme

At Dreamkids, our School Inclusion Programme is built on one guiding principle: every child belongs. We believe that learning flourishes when children, regardless of their individual strengths or challenges, are welcomed into the classroom community — fully participating, valued, supported.
Our Objective
Our aim is to prepare children for a smooth, confident transition into mainstream schooling—while ensuring they thrive in the present. We create an inclusive environment where children engage in the same rich curriculum as their peers, yet receive the scaffolding, adaptations and support they need to succeed.
-
Shared curriculum experience: Children attend lessons in language & literacy, science, music, arts, social studies and physical development alongside their classmates.
-
Adaptation, not isolation: While the learning experience is the same for all, tasks may be adjusted, supports added and environment modified so every child can access the learning.
-
Focus on key developmental areas:
-
Language & Literacy (including phonics and meaningful communication)
-
Cognition and problem-solving
-
Social & adaptive skills surface through meaningful participation and interaction
-
Fine & gross motor skills, physical development and nature & science explorations
-
Therapist-led supports embedded in everyday learning:
-
OT for motor, sensory and daily-living skills
-
ST to build communication, comprehension and safe eating/swallowing skills
-
Participation in real-world settings: Field trips, hands-on activities and peer-interaction environments reinforce belonging and engagement
-
Inclusive education means more than access—it means belonging, being seen, being valued, and being given the opportunity to learn, grow and connect with others. The School Inclusion Programme at Dreamkids helps children build confidence in their abilities, knowing they are part of a community. Parents, teachers and specialist staff work together to tailor pathways to success so that each child is supported, enriched, and empowered.

Support Services

At Dreamkids, we recognise that each child and family brings a unique journey to learning and development. Our Support Services are designed to supplement our core programmes with targeted, specialist support — empowering children to access learning, build independence and flourish in their school and home environments.
Our Services Include:
-
Parent Training
-
Occupational Therapy (OT)
-
Speech & Language Therapy (ST)
-
Educational Therapy
-
Our skilled occupational therapists assess and support children in areas such as fine and gross motor development, visual-perceptual skills, sensory processing, self-care (feeding, dressing, toileting), posture and daily living skills. We also recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to enhance participation and independence.
Communication is foundational for learning and social connection. Our speech-language therapists work with children (individually or in groups) to build receptive and expressive language, articulation, social communication and, where needed, alternative/augmentative methods of communication.
