This week, our K2 children explored After the Fall by Dan Santat — the story of Humpty Dumpty, who, after his great fall, found the courage to climb again.
It couldn’t have come at a better time.
Between concert rehearsals, stage jitters, and countless “try-again” moments, our children were living out the story’s message — that real learning doesn’t happen when everything goes right, but when we fall and choose to rise. 🌱
As they reflected, they created their own motivational quotes:
“Keep moving even when you’re tired.”
“Take one step at a time.”
“Be brave, be courageous.”
We transformed their words into a Growth Mindset Wall — a daily reminder that perseverance, courage, and self-belief are as important as literacy or numeracy.
In many ways, this mirrors what we advocate through risky play — giving children safe spaces to take risks, make mistakes, and build confidence through experience. Whether it’s climbing higher, balancing longer, or speaking on stage for the first time, each “risky” moment is an act of growth.
Because childhood isn’t about perfect performances —
It is about building the mindset to do it again.
